Starting from Singapore

Starting from Singapore
We land on the 22nd at 20:55 (Singapore time).
We have our hotel booked on that night and the night after which will be a relief when we get there.

We can get the MRT from the airport if we are feeling up for it (if we are sleepy our navigation/map skills may fail...)

Now, its only 13:55 our time when we land, now I never sleep on aeroplanes (never have, never will) meaning I’l be knackered when we get there, but probs best to stay up till like normal 11ish there time to have less Jet Lag?

Once we’re there, I’m sure we will be kept busy for our couple day initial stay in Singapore.
We have already booked a hotel for when we get there.
The check in time is at 15:00 which is fine, as we land at 20:55.
The check out time is 12:00 which is quite nice as I’ve been in hotels with a 10:00 checkout before.

Apparently you can break five laws by spitting a piece of chewing gum out of the window. How fun would that be if we get there and just do it without thinking on arrival.

Our Singapore Hotel

Small and basic but Singapore is rather expensive. It will do as somewhere to crash our heads and eat the included breakfast.

Travelling around Singapore
Normal Buses run from 6am in the morning to 12 midnight daily.
Between 12 midnight and 6am, Night Buses, charging a flat fee of S$3, bring you out of the city into the residential neighbourhoods. Singapore is a 24 hour city in terms of public transportation and if you know where to go, its a 24 hour city in terms of entertainment and nightlife as well. You can also go on several bus routes especially designed for sightseers. The fares are based on the distance travelled. You can ask the bus driver for the price of the fare you need to pay on boarding, or pick up a bus guide/brochure at the bus interchanges or even from the bus service information displays located in most bus stops. The easier thing to do would be to purchase a ''ezlink'' Contactless Smart Card or the ''Visitors Card'' for tourists, just tap upon entry and tap at the readers when exiting and the correct fare will be deducted, its much easier as you do not have to figure out the fare to pay.
